liveHarmony is completely community-supported.

Source

We write a lot of software for performing behind-the-scenes maintenance. We plan to release most of it under open-source licenses. As this software was originally written for internal use, it will not be suitable out-of-the-box for other configurations. We offer no warranties on our software. Some of the code is fairly ugly.

The latest snapshot of our toolkit is liveharmony-toolkit-svn-20060801.tar.gz. The toolkit contains:

  • cglib, a code generator library
  • crdbl, a services interface hack
  • doomsday, a simple message applet
  • dnscheck, a DNS server monitor
  • dnsprop, a tinydns database propagation utility
  • gbus, a CVS-based backup script
  • listhtml, a room listing creator
  • tarpit, a simple tarpitter
  • scriptmail, a cron e-mail hack
  • tcprules-ipupdate, an automatic tcprules updater
  • webcheck, a web server monitor (now supports MD5 integrity checks)

Licenses

Most of the content on our site is licensed under a Creative Commons license. We use the 1.0, attribution, noncommercial license. Only our original content falls under this license -- linked material, others' quotes, etc. are not covered. Some pages contain user-created content (such as chat room topics or messages sent to chat rooms) that are neither property of liveHarmony nor under this license. If in doubt, check with us to clarify.

Our toolkit uses various licenses. For information on a particular tool's license, see its LICENSE file.

The Java applet is a separate, proprietary product of WebMaster, Inc. and is not covered by the two above licenses.

Commercial use of the liveHarmony service is subject to the commercial use policy.

The liveHarmony service is provided as-is and without any warranties. Trademarks are property of their respective owners. If ingested, do not induce vomiting.

We have a separate page recognizing our past donors. (liveHarmony no longer accepts donations.)

WebMaster provides support for ConferenceRoom. WebMaster offers commercial chat/conferencing software.
